A gift certificate for the Wharf Bar and Grill, located in peaceful Summerland Key, is one of my favorite things to give someone. Whether it is for a birthday or holiday or a thank you, a gift certificate for the Wharf Bar and Grill fits everyone – with never a complaint!

If fresh food plus fresh ingredients and a great friendly staff right on the water has you intrigued, don’t wait for a gift certificate. 

For starters, try the Mussels Diablo and a Margarita. The smoked fish dip with Cuban crackers and lime and the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp are appetizers that will have you coming back for more.  WOW!

Other delicious delicacies include fresh-caught tuna, dolphin, wahoo, cobia, grouper, or snapper, but their expert preparation is what makes these standouts on the menu. In addition, you can choose fish blackened with Cajun spices, grilled with garlic/cilantro butter, panko-crumb fried with tartar sauce or, my personal favorite, coconut-fried with jalapeno chutney, which turns something ordinary into something extraordinary!

Did I mention sweet potato fries? I didn’t think so… you’ll have to taste those to believe something so good can be good for you!

I’ve got a confession to make. I’ve got a sweet tooth and I live in south Florida – what do I live for? Key Lime Pie! The Key Lime Pie at the “Wharf” is not your run-of-the-mill “yankee” key lime pie – this is the real deal! 

Their Sunday Brunch is loaded with items that you can’t find for the price and quality any place else.  Relax… enjoy the water and the food!  

Prices are moderate and this is great, relaxed dining at its best. I think I’ll buy a gift certificate for myself because after all…I deserve it!
